What to do when ConnectUC notifications stop working

Objective

Restore ConnectUC call and message notifications when they are missing, delayed, or silent.

Steps

Stage 1 — Check ConnectUC settings

  1. Open ConnectUC and select your user icon.
  2. Confirm that Do Not Disturb and Disable Notifications are off.
  3. Open Preferences → Notifications.
  4. Confirm that the notification type you need is enabled and that a sound is selected.
  5. Sign out of ConnectUC, sign back in, and test again.

Stage 2 — Check your device

  1. Confirm that your computer or mobile device is not muted.
  2. On a mobile device, allow notifications, background activity, and cellular data for ConnectUC.
  3. Turn off device-level Focus or Do Not Disturb.
  4. Disable Low Power Mode or battery restrictions that prevent ConnectUC from operating in the background.
  5. Check for a ConnectUC update in your device's app store.

ConnectUC Mobile login tokens can expire after a long period of inactivity. Signing out and back in refreshes the connection.

Verification

Place a test call and send a test message. Confirm that the device displays and sounds the expected notifications.

Expected result: ConnectUC alerts you to new calls and messages while the application is open and while it is running in the background.
