How to choose your microphone, speakers, and ringtone in ConnectUC

Objective

Select and test the audio devices ConnectUC uses for calls and notifications.

Choose audio devices

  1. Open ConnectUC and select your user icon.
  2. Open Preferences → Audio.
  3. Select the microphone, speaker, and ringing device you want to use.
  4. Select Rescan Devices if a connected device does not appear.
  5. Use Test Sound to confirm that ConnectUC plays audio through the selected device.
  6. Adjust the notification and ringer volume as needed.

Connect a USB or Bluetooth headset before opening Audio preferences so ConnectUC can detect it.

Verification

Place a test call and confirm that the selected microphone and speaker work. Then have someone call you and confirm that the selected ringing device sounds.

Expected result: ConnectUC uses the intended microphone, speaker, and ringing device.
