How to block and unblock SMS numbers in ConnectUC
Objective
Stop messages from an unwanted SMS number and allow that number again later.
Block a number
- Open the SMS conversation with the unwanted number.
- Reply with BLOCK.
- Wait for confirmation that the number was blocked.
Unblock a number
- Open the conversation with the blocked number.
- Reply with UNBLOCK.
View blocked SMS numbers
Send MSGBL to any number from your SMS account. The response lists currently blocked numbers or confirms that none are blocked.
BLOCK and UNBLOCK apply only to the number receiving the keyword. The other person is not notified that they were blocked or unblocked.
Verification
Use MSGBL to confirm that the number appears after blocking and is removed after unblocking.
Expected result: The SMS blacklist reflects the requested change.
