What to do when a Bluetooth headset disconnects or has no audio

Objective

Reconnect a Bluetooth headset and restore its microphone and speaker audio.

Steps

  1. Charge and power on the headset.
  2. Confirm that the headset is not muted.
  3. Move the headset closer to the phone or computer.
  4. Disconnect the headset from other nearby devices that may take over the Bluetooth connection.
  5. Open the phone or computer Bluetooth settings and confirm that the headset shows as connected.
  6. If necessary, remove the headset from the Bluetooth list and pair it again.
  7. In ConnectUC, open Preferences → Audio, select the headset, and use Rescan Devices if it is missing.
  8. Place a test call.

A Bluetooth headset may connect to one device for media and another for calls. Confirm that the intended calling device owns the active connection.

Verification

Confirm that the headset rings, answers a test call, and carries clear microphone and speaker audio.

Expected result: The headset remains connected and provides clear two-way audio.
